Hannah Louise Jackson
As the owner of Empowered Studios, my aim is to provide top quality coaching for adults and children of all ages in a safe and friendly environment. I have trained top champions in Freestyle, Rock and Roll, Slow and street for numerous years. My students regularly represent the North West Area in the IDTA’s Nationwide Medalist of the Year finals held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. I have extensive experience choreographing and producing shows as well as being a championship adjudicator, judging a variety of talent shows, competitions and festivals.
I am a Fellowship member of the International Dance Teachers Association and hold a variety of teaching qualifications in a number of dance styles including; Latin American, Freestyle, Dance Exercise Diploma, Street Dance, Line Dance and Rock and Roll. I am also a qualified leadership coach with Sport UK and a street cheer instructor with the U.K.C.A.
I feel privileged to be able to train such talented students of a daily basis, Empowered Studios will allow me to make great dancers even better whilst nurturing new talent and helping to build confidence.
Neil started dancing from an early age training in Theatre and Freestyle, performing in some of the most prestigious venues in the country and competing nationally in both freestyle competitions and theatre scholarships.
He has gone on to gain his BTEC National Diploma and Foundation Degree in Musical Theatre and graduated from University with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance Practice.
Developing his teaching career, Neil has recently achieved his IDTA Freestyle Associate qualification with Distinction and is looking forward to progressing further with his teaching qualifications.
Alongside teaching, Neil also works full time on the development of dance activity across Manchester and the North West for both youth engagement and professional level artistic development; working with youth dance companies and emerging dance artists to choreograph and produce various showcases, platform events and festivals.
Amy, an IDTA Ballet Licentiate has begun to establish herself as a dance teacher over the past four years working in dancing schools, primary and secondary schools and within the community teaching students from ages 3 years to adults.
Most recently she has completed studying her BA (HONS) Dance with Aerial Performance degree at Edge Hill University and is due to graduate in July 2015.
Amy is now looking to continue to establish herself as a dance artist in the North West, working on a variety of projects with many different age ranges. As well as this she is continuing her teaching studies with the IDTA currently working towards her Associates in Modern Jazz, Tap and Theatre Craft.
Amy strives to share her passion with the next generation of dancers and is looking forward to offering the highest quality of Theatre Dance training to students at Empowered Studios.
Lauren is currently training at Stockout Arts, where she is completing a BA Honours degree in Professional and Commercial Dance.
She has been delivering classes and workshops throughout the country for a number of years and has trained in dance styles including Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary.
Lauren has travelled as far as America to further her training, more recently concentrating on Commercial, Urban Choreography and Street.
Other career highlights include travelling to America to train in Los Angeles; performing in the LA Carnival; performing at the World Of Dance in Germany, and of course, appearing on the hit TV show, Got To Dance.
Lauren and her street dance group just missed out on the finals of the show. As a semi-finalist on Got to Dance, she was mentored by Ashey Banjo from Diversity.
Lauren is looking forward to passing her knowledge and skills on to the students of Empowered Studios.
Misha has been a gymnast from the age of 2 and officially retired at 16 . She was North west champion over all at the age of 14 and Beam Champion at the age of 15. From there Misha started dancing and studied musical theatre at college.
After completing her studies, Misha toured with a dance company, performing Nationwide and in Amsterdam. She was also a member of the Cheerleading group called indipenDance where she cheered for rugby teams such as Sale Sharkes , Saint Jelens, Warfigton Wolves and Salford Reds.
It was then Misha pursued her love of acting and attended one of the 5 best drama schools in the Uk, Arts Educational where Darcie Bussle trained. Since Drama school Misha has been a successful actress in shows such as Shameless, Corrie, Law and Order and many more BBC comedies and dramas. Her favourite art form is physical theatre which is very similar to contemporary dance, with her past as a gymnast she loves to incorporate her skills.
Misha is a level 2 women’s artistic qualified coach, fully qualified and insured to teach Acro and Gymnastics. She is very excited to work with the students of Empowered!
